The Golden Age of youth mountain biking is here.

In Washington, we now live in a world of High School Mountain Bike Race Leagues, mountain bike summer camps, youth jump clinics and amazing new trails being built all around us. But what about those kids who haven't yet had a chance to experience gliding through the woods on two wheels?

Do you know someone who'd love to try mountain biking in a safe and positive environment? If so, join us at Duthie Hill Bike Park on Oct. 6th from 10am-3pm for our 8th Annual Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day! And as always—it’s FREE!

And thanks to our friends at Kona Bikes, Sweetlines, Clif, Carter-Subaru and Gregg's Cycle there will be a host of fun activities for all to enjoy.

Fun for all

Are you looking to get your young ripper off on the right foot? We'll have professional mountain bike instructors from Sweetlines and Evergreen there and ready to help with clinics and group rides.

Also–new for this year–Evergreen's Education staff will be piecing together a fun obstacle course challenge for young riders to test out their new skills!

Hungry? Gregg’s Cycles has you covered with a FREE BBQ lunch so you and your family can take a break from all that two-wheeled fun. Just a need a snack? Clif will have plenty of product on hand to keep you rolling and happy.

And be sure to stick around! Kona Bikes has generously donated a kid's 20" mountain bike we'll be raffling off to one lucky winner at the end of the day. Along with the bike, we'll have TONS of other prizes including mountain bike shoes (5 pairs!), Sombrio youth jerseys, handlebars, helmets and lots more!

Remember: This event is for all abilities; whether you're a seasoned junior racer, a new rider or a toddler on a strider bike, you're invited to join the learning-focused ride community led by our welcoming staff and volunteers.

See you there!
