The 2016 Methow Singletrack Solstice is THIS weekend (June 24, 25, &26th) in Winthrop, Washington! Join in and experience great riding, drawings, the Singletrack Solstice Snapshot Photo Contest, and getting to know other awesome mountain bikers!

Most importantly though, all proceeds from this event support the Methow Chapter's mission and efforts to improve mountain biking and trails in the Methow Valley. This event is a main fundraiser for the chapter.

Friday evening's check-in and packet pick up is at the Winthrop pump track from 6pm-8pm.  Enjoy light refreshments and get the blood moving again after sitting in the car with some laps on the track.

As always, the signature event for the Solstice is the optional all-day point-to-point ride on Saturday. This year’s route will start near Loup-Loup Summit and take in the Bear Mountain and Middle Fork Beaver Creek trails in the national forest before crossing the Methow Wildlife Area on a variety of singletrack trails.

The route is approximately 29 miles long and features 3000 feet of climbing and 5600 feet of descending. A lunch stop at Pearrygin Lake State Park refuels riders before a final short spin back to town on paved roads. The Loup-Loup point-to-point ride is limited to 50 riders so be sure to register now!

New for this year’s Solstice weekend: take part in a two-day, women only mountain biking skills camp taught by Angi Weston and Lindsey Voreis—both long-time mountain bikers, and certified instructors! These women know their stuff and help riders improve their skills and get more enjoyment out of mountain biking.

Registration for this skills camp includes morning skills sessions each day, daily lunch, afternoon rides with on-trail coaching, and a Saturday night dinner hosted by Methow Cycle & Sport. The skills camp is limited to 18 riders to ensure that every rider gets plenty of attention. Register Today!

All Singletrack Solstice registrations include breakfast on Sunday in the Winthrop Park.   We’ll also be drawing raffle prizes and presenting Singletrack Solstice Snapshot awards for photos capturing the most memorable moments of the weekend.
