Our East Chapter hosted a special Team Epic gathering at Uprise Brewing — the first of its kind in Spokane in over six years. Team Epic members, Evergreen’s highest-level donors, gathered for a relaxed happy hour followed by a private dinner. The event brought together passionate supporters, East Chapter board members, and statewide staff for an evening of conversation, shared stories, trivia, and a collective look toward the future of mountain biking in Washington.

Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance had an incredible two-day visit to Spokane this week, filled with meaningful connections, trail exploration, and community celebration.

On Monday evening, our East Chapter hosted a special Team Epic gathering at Uprise Brewing — the first of its kind in Spokane in over six years. Guests shared what Evergreen means to them — from favorite trails and advocacy wins to the sense of belonging and community that riding together creates. There was also growing excitement for the Singletrack Soirée Gala coming up in November, including hints at headline entertainment that had everyone buzzing (details to come!).

The following day, Evergreen’s leadership team visited Mount Spokane to explore current trails and future opportunities. During the visit, the team connected with Washington State Parks Ranger Scott Hupp, who is a valued leader and collaborator for recreation and trail maintenance on the mountain. A key topic of discussion was the future of adaptive mountain biking on Mount Spokane — and how trail systems and signage can be enhanced to better support all riders. Evergreen is excited to partner in this work with local riders and advocates to vet trails and assess flow, safety, and multi-use impacts to ensure accessibility for everyone.

That evening, Evergreen hosted a group ride at Beacon Hill, starting from Hillyard Bicycle, with 18 members of the local riding community. The group had a blast riding trails including the newest addition, Ghostly Laughter, and cheering each other on while tackling technical features. The ride was followed by pizza, beverages, and community connection back at the shop.

Across both days, one theme was clear: Washington’s mountain bike community is strong, passionate, connected, and growing — and Evergreen is proud to support that growth with access, advocacy, and inclusive programming from east to west.

Thanks to our East Chapter, Team Epic members, trail partners, and the entire Spokane riding community for the warm welcome and continued support. We’ll see you on the trails!
