Backcountry Trails Update from Greenwater / SR 410 Corridor: Thank You, Volunteers!
Our South Sound Chapter community has put in an incredible amount of work clearing the SR 410 trails this spring and summer, including multiple snowy weekends in May and June.
After a rough winter with hundreds of downed trees and debris on trail, we had our work cut out for us.
We want to give a big thank you to every single one of you who showed up and helped log out the 410 trails in Greenwater - Ranger, Suntop, Palisades.

Thank you to WTA, the Forest Service, and Backcountry Horsemen of Washington for coordinating, clearing roads, and managing the trail crews.

Thank you to Bob Carrasca, Cal Lindberg, Cat Gard, Chris Shalbot, Delia Massey, Glenn Rogers, Hugh Gren, Jeff Fenbert, Jeff Mix, Jenny Hakala, Josh Garcia, Kyle Capizzi, Michelle Brittnacher, Nate Spencer, Nathan Bankston, Nathan Yuhl, Neil Stubbs, Paul Martin, Peter Partel, Russ Pochop, Ryan Kitchen, Stephanie Martinez, XM Vo.
"These folks showed up for heavy, long, hard work days. Inexplicably, many came back for multiple tours. Our weather was often the typical cold, wet, and windy variety. These days are as memorable as they are long. The effort to maintain trails will continue in perpetuity, as long as there are trees and weather. Stewards will come and go. Grateful to these good folks who set an excellent example and precedent for doing the hard work that needs to be done to keep our trails running well." - Ryan Kitchen, South Sound Chapter Council Member
