Shortcut to Jackpot

I've been away on a Miami to LA cruise through the Panama Canal so I have been going through singletrack withdrawl and needed a good run to get myself back into my normal routine in the PNW. I took the truck all the way up to the access road junction to the Jackpot midpoint and began cutting back the saplings so a low altitude entry (2950') to the Jackpot trail isn't lost. There is about 3" of snow on the ground there so the bike is still usable for a bit longer. After the trimming, I drove to the bottom of Skyline, parked, and began climbing back up to do Jackpot/Skyline. Just below the lower Jackpot entry, there is a chainsaw job waiting for the next saw to get there. Skyline and Pathfinder were clear. The wet roots made it challenging but the dirt was ideal. The Trailforks ride log and pictures are located here.
