Swan Creek Dig Day: Ground Control
DO NOT ATTEND THIS EVENT UNLESS YOU'VE REGISTERED AND RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION EMAIL.
Normally, we'd encourage you to invite your best friend, grandma, dog, cat, sister, and whoever else wants to attend, but due to COVID-19 restrictions we have a strict event size limit, so have to keep work parties small for now.
Join Evergreen for a day cleaning up Swan Creek Park!
We will be working on tuning up some features on Ground Control. The project will include removing duff/topsoil, digging borrow pits, easy raking/shaping, green up/transplanting ferns, and (if the weather permits) test riding.
All of the work will take place on Lower Ground Control and the trail will be closed.
Volunteers should come prepared to be exposed to the elements and get dirty. We encourage sturdy footwear (work boots if you have them), a couple pair of work gloves (extras if it is raining because wet gloves are no fun), and suitable layers for the weather.
There is room to lock a few bikes in the storage container for those who want to ride after the work party, but please be on time if you want to use this resource. If you miss the start time you can ride to the work site and stash your bike on the side of the trail near where you are working.
Due to the popularity of this trail, start time will be a little earlier. Meet up at the Lister Gate next to Lister Elementary off of E44th and T St. by 8:55 if you would like to drive in and park at the pump track. See Google maps pin. If you are planning to ride or walk in meet at the storage container at 9:00am.
All tools will be provided. Please come prepared to adhere to COVID protocols which require all participants to wear masks during the work party.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to Brian (trail builder) at .
