Crank Sisters VALENTINE’s social, co-ed ride at BDOS!
This is a chance to get outside with your significant other or bestie! Bring your lights – kind of like it’s a candlelight night!
Festive colors or fun lights are encouraged! Or just come as you are! If you want to socialize after, bring a favorite dish to share!

About the Ride:
What better way to celebrate Valentine’s then to get outside with your significant other or bestie doing what you love! Crank Sisters has a no-drop policy. You will regroup often with your ride leader. There will be multiple ride leaders so you can go the social pace that feels right for you! Night riding puts a whole new spin on the good-old trails. Bring your lights (one for your handlebar & one for your helmet) & we'll pedal around BDOS.
We'll meet at 06:00 PM, then after a quick intro, bike check, and photos of our cool outfits, we'll hit the trails. Please be on time: we can't wait longer than 15 minutes for late riders to arrive.
Evergreen's Trail Description:
According to Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance, Black Diamond Open Space (BDOS) offers a network of interconnected trails with a variety of difficulty levels, primarily focused on cross-country (XC) riding, featuring a mix of flowy sections, technical turns, and some steeper downhill options like "Fresh Squeezed" and "Crooshal," making it suitable for riders of different skill levels, all within a relatively flat terrain compared to other nearby areas like Henry's Ridge and Summit Ridge; the trails are maintained in partnership with King County Parks and are designed to provide fun, accessible riding experiences for both beginners and more advanced riders.
We will be riding greens and blues for a distance of approximately 5 to 7 miles depending on the group you’re in. Specific trails to be ridden will be shared at the start of the ride as will be dependent on weather, trail conditions, and ride levels.
Directions:
Two miles north of Black Diamond, or six miles south of Maple Valley on SR-169/Maple Valley-Black Diamond Rd/3rd Ave. The southern, main parking lot is on the east side of SR-169 and can accommodate cars, trucks, and horse trailers.
