After six years of planning, designing, advocating, and building, The Trek at Tehaleh is opening! Celebrate with us at the grand opening Saturday, June 22. You can expect party vibes at the parking lot, shred vibes on the trails and fun for the whole family.
Itinerary for the Grand Opening:
9:00 AM Participant Arrival/Parking/Morning Chats
10:00 AM Kick Off Formal Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with Pierce County Parks
11:00 AM Ride with the Trail Builders
12:00 PM Food Trucks / DJ Set / Vendor activities
1:00 PM Bell Lap Productions Dual Slalom
3:00 PM Wrap Up
The main venue will be hosted in the parking lot with vendors, food trucks, coffee and games! Start practicing your track stands for a game fo foot down to win prizes. There will be a backyard style dual slalom race presented by Bell Lap Productions! Grab a bud to test your speed on the course, slowest out of three owes the other a new set of tires (just kidding!).
Parking - there will be available parking along the road leading up to Tehaleh. Please carpool as there is limited shoulder parking. There will be overflow parking available in the CC Edwards lot:
Food - there will be food trucks and vendors at the grand opening. Please pack enough water and snacks for your day! If you do not wish to purchase lunch, plan accordingly.
Weather - please check the weather forecast beforehand and make sure to bring enough water and appropriate clothing.
Trails - Tehaleh was built with progression in mind! You will find green, blue and black singletrack throughout the park. Please refer to the map below to get acquainted with the park prior to the grand opening. If you have any questions about trails we will have folks onsite that will happily answer any of your riding questions!
