100% a moto trail

This is definitely a mountain bike trail you need to try right now! If you often have trouble deciding whether or not to hike or to go mountain biking, then this is the trail for you! Experience some of the most beautiful, and desolate, views in the state of Washington, all while carrying a bicycle on your back.  Besides, if you aren't carrying a bicycle on your back, are you even really trying? If you've ever wondered what it's like to pedal up a descending trail, wonder no more, this is the trail for you! Do you enjoy balancing as you navigate moto ruts during your climbs? Say no more!  Be sure to bring all your friends, especially new biking partners and/or a new girlfriend or boyfriend.   Personally I think that whoever posted these trails on trailforks was either trying to get back at a friend, an insane climber, or a dirtbike salesman because after finishing riding these trails you will be convinced to buy one.

In all honesty, most of the climbs suck (or are walks)  but the descents are super fun and you probably won't see another soul especially if you go midweek.   The views of Adams are unparalleled, and Rainier, St Helens, and Hood are all in the distance.  As of 19 July, there are no trees on the trail and there was still snow in a few places off trail.   The trail doesnt really start to get difficult to ascend until the "climb" up to Sunrise Peak.  These trails would be fun to do bikepacking on, as long as you are ok with a lot of bikepushing along the way.

I rode this trail as a loop, going south from NF 2904, then rode the boundary trail to Langille Ridge before bailing halfway down "rough trail" and taking NF29 back to my car.  I would not recommend riding "rough trail".  It was around 32 miles and 8k of climbing.

If I did this again, I would go with another person and start at the same spot, but stage a car at the end of Langille Ridge.

Get out there and go ride it!
