Join Our Team! Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance is seeking a full-time Information Systems Manager to lead and support our organization’s technology infrastructure, data operations, project management and digital tools.

This role is essential to maintaining and improving Evergreen’s web platforms, office systems, data integrity, and reporting tools, ensuring our staff, volunteers, and community have reliable, efficient, and secure access to the information and systems they need. The Information Systems Manager works cross-functionally to monitor system health, support staff and volunteers, manage software and website updates, and implement new technical solutions.

Day-to-day responsibilities include resolving user and system issues, configuring event registrations, importing and cleaning data, producing internal reports and dashboards, and managing Google Workspace tools. In addition to ongoing support, the role leads long-term projects such as optimizing performance, enhancing website functionality, streamlining office workflows, improving technology documentation, and collaborating with staff across departments, volunteers, and vendors to deliver solutions that advance Evergreen’s mission.

The Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance was originally formed over 30 years ago in response to the need for rider advocacy and trails in the Seattle area. Now a statewide organization, we continue to rely on our volunteer trail builders and chapter leaders to deliver our organization's mission and vision, with the administrative team supporting that work. Our workplace is mostly hybrid, with an office in North Bend, WA. The team culture is centered around cross-departmental collaboration, effective communication, diligence, dedication, and maintaining a healthy balance of life and professional priorities. We are also a team of avid riders, outdoor recreationists, and lovers of our wild places.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Process Management

  • Lead technical projects from conception to implementation, including defining project scopes, setting timelines, tracking progress, and coordinating across teams.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to develop and enhance tools, website features, and business processes.
  • Manage the setup and workflows for the event registration system for classes, clinics, and volunteer events, responding to staff and Chapter needs.
  • Document procedures, system configurations, and operational workflows for institutional knowledge and staff training.

Technical Systems Management

  • Monitor and maintain the production and test website environments' functionality, performance, and security.
  • Manage Evergreen’s Google Workspace environment, including user accounts, group permissions, and file-sharing protocols.
  • Ensure seamless functionality of office systems, hardware, and staff software tools, providing timely IT support.
  • Work with third-party vendors to manage performance, resolve issues, and implement new tools and system upgrades.

Data & Reporting

  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure data accuracy and resolve data integrity issues.
  • Perform monthly and ad-hoc updates to constituent and membership data to support reconciliation processes.
  • Prepare monthly reports to support financial, membership, and organizational KPIs.
  • Design, develop, and manage interactive dashboards and comprehensive reports to effectively monitor performance and analyze data trends. Ensure that these tools are regularly updated and maintained for accuracy and relevance.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for technology-related questions and requests from staff and volunteers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology solutions that improve efficiency and impact.
  • Support event and community engagement by managing registration, payment, and participant communication processes.
  • Uphold Evergreen’s values in interactions with members, volunteers, and community partners.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Test and validate new digital tools, workflows, or website features.
  • Maintain version control and documentation through platforms like GitHub.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed to staff and volunteers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in alignment with Evergreen’s mission and operations.

Ideal Candidate

You are deeply passionate about Evergreen’s mission and vision and committed to fostering equity within the organization and the broader community. You bring at least three years of professional IT or technology work, including website and SQL database management.

You are also:

  • Proficient in data management and reporting using Excel or similar software.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about implementing and documenting new operational and administrative procedures.
  • Experienced in collaborating and communicating with staff and volunteers to achieve shared goals.
  • Skilled in customer service and interpersonal communication.
  • Proven record of managing admin systems and understanding of risk management and security.
  • Experienced in coordinating and executing in-person and virtual community events.
  • Adaptable and quick to learn new technology and tasks independently.
  • A collaborative team player who can manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in IT or technology roles, including website and SQL database management.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver complex technical projects from planning through execution—balancing timelines, priorities, and collaboration across teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality digital tools and user experiences.
  • Solid understanding of web development principles with hands-on experience in PHP, MySQL, HTML, and CSS.
  • Comfortable managing content management systems (Joomla, WordPress), customer relationship management systems (CiviCRM), and using version control tools like GitHub.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; adept at working with staff, volunteers, and third-party vendors.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable personal transportation.
  • Must be a resident of Washington State.
  • Background check required; any issues will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Employment  Agreement

The Information Systems Manager is a full-time, non-exempt position with flexible work hours and the ability to work remotely. This full-time position requires availability on evenings and weekends and reports to the Operations Director. Due to the nature of the work, a dependable, high-speed internet connection is required regardless of your location during working hours.

Benefits include:

  • Eleven holidays (88 hours) paid holidays off per year.
  • Twenty days (160 hours accrued) of personal time off per year.
  • $210/pay period stipend to assist with health care premiums.
  • $35/pay period communications stipend for mobile phone and internet account assistance.
  • A one-time start-up technology purchase reimbursement of $700 for new employee home office and/or technology set-up.
  • Annual tech upgrades of up to $500 upon pre-approval, based on yearly equipment needs and requests.

Location: North Bend, WA. Remote work locations are assumed and permitted, with a recommended 1-day week office day in North Bend, mandatory in-person planning meetings and retreats, and Board retreat attendance at various locations throughout the state. Must be a Washington resident

Compensation: Hourly range $29.00 - $34.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
