We’re pleased to welcome two new staff members to our team! With the growth of mountain biking in Washington and the number of trails opening this summer, existing staff needs all they help they can get!

The addition of two highly skilled team members—Shawna Sherman and Julia VanDyne—couldn’t come a better time as we ramp up for an epic ride season! We look forward to their expertise as we continue to serve our Washington membership.

ShawnaSherman300pxFinance Manager: Shawna Sherman

Making sure our numbers are adequately crunched is Shawna Sherman, our new Finance Manager charge of accounting.

Bringing obvious passion for the outdoors, Shawna comes from a strong background in developing and tracking projects and budgets in both the commercial and non-profit sector. She most recently has spent the last 4 years running her own consulting business providing organizational management, financial oversight, and training for various businesses. She brings with her an MBA from the University of Washington Foster School of Business.

Julia biopic300pxEducation Youth Coordinator: Julia VanDyne

A rider since the 90s, Julia has spent the last few years in Seattle enjoying the trails with her husband and son who are also avid mountain bikers.

With a Master’s in Social Work (with a focus on childhood education), Julia is well suited for her role as Youth Education Coordinator. And after working the past 15 years in the business world, she’s excited to focus on her passion: working with youth and supporting their love of the outdoors. Despite already having a wide range of skills in coordination, marketing, communication, and customer service, Julia is also currently in school pursuing a Certificate in Business Administration!

Julia oversees Evergreen Dirt Camps and will be assisting Dan with the Dirt Camp program this summer!

Evergreen welcome's Shawna and Julia to the team!
