Duthie Hill is currently closed due to significant storm damage, including numerous downed trees, hazardous hanging trees, and debris throughout the area.

As you may have seen, Duthie got hit hard by the storm this week. We have been on site with King County Parks to start assessing damage, and it's clear that the park will need to be closed for an extended period. The north entrance boardwalk has been crushed, several wooden features were damaged, most trails are blocked by fallen trees and debris, and there are several broken and leaning trees that will be a hazard until they are cut down. King County will be keeping the parking lots locked and the park will be closed until the damage can be addressed.

We will be working closely with King County to get in with our crew and limited volunteer work parties when it’s safe to do so. We are currently planning on shifting our scheduled maintenance work parties to debris clean up, and will be adding more to our online calendar soon. Trails with damaged wooden features will stay closed for a longer time as we fundraise and schedule repairs. Please stay aware of your surroundings, look up, and respect trail closures during this time.

Now and always, we will prioritize the safety of our staff and community, many of whom are still dealing with power outages and storm recovery where they live. We’re in this one together, and we appreciate everyone’s help and patience while we get Duthie and other regional riding areas back up and running.

Thank you for your support.
