On Friday, October 21, Evergreen hosted our 2016 Annual Community Meeting at the REI Flagship Store to thank you, our gracious members and dedicated volunteers. Roughly 120 folks attended the meeting indulging in free pizza, and beer from Iron Horse Brewery.

It’s easy to see that Evergreen’s success comes from you and your continued dedication to making Washington a great place to ride for everyone. And you deserve our thanks. And every year we look forward to celebrating you and all the other individuals who have supported Evergreen over the past year.

Staff, board members, and volunteers shared trail tales from 2016, and discussed plans for the year to come.  We also shared some of the miles of trail on tap for 2017.

Evergreen was also able to congratulate Mike Westra, our Trails Director, for being awarded the 2016 Trail Leader from the Washington State Trails Coalition.

Community members also had a chance for a public Q&A and discussion with Yvonne Kraus, Executive Director, and Andy Rigel, Evergreen Board President. Attendees also got a chance to give staff feedback on next year’s priorities:

What should our #1 goal be in 2017?

How can you help us grow our membership?

How can we communicate better with you as a member?

If you missed the meeting and would like to give us your feedback, please fill out out our community survey. Thank you again to all the volunteer and members that were able to attend this event continuing to reinforce the strong sense of community we have in the PNW!
