Wilderness Designation in Colville National Forest?
Located up in the northeastern corner of Washington State is the Colville National Forest. Currently, the forest Service is asking for public input on which of the 21 Inventoried Roadless Areas it should recommend to Congress for Wilderness designation. This could potentially be a detrimental decision for special places like Kettle Crest which are highly valued backcountry riding areas. Read more here.

Mountain Bikes in National Parks?
In a collaborative move heavily influenced by IMBA, the Bush administration is intending to make it easier for mountain bikers to access national parks and other public lands before the president leaves office. Click here to learn more!

Tiger Mountain Is Now Officially Closed!
Tiger Mountain is now officially closed for the season. The DNR asks that you please respect the closure date. Weather permitting, it will open again in April 2009. Evergreen will be leading work parties there throughout the winter. Stay tuned for more details. More info on Tiger here
