A friend and I took our gravel bikes to the North Mountain skills area this morning. We walked over to the kiosk and my buddy got stung by a bee! After inspecting the kiosk, there was a 7" diameter hive hanging from the backside! With no one else around, I removed the hive and rode away. We did the Green side and then Faller, High Grade, and Logger. Then we climbed North Mountain Road up to the shuttle lot area to show him a few more things and continued all the way around the base of the mountain back to Darrington and his car. All the skills park trails were wonderful and the Hook Tender tree is waiting for the saws when the power tool restriction is lifted. Had a nice lunch at the Rivertime Brewery afterwards.
