First Time!

Rode Victoria for the first time with a couple of friends.  The trails seem to be in good shape although there was some mud in places.  The nettles were also out.  Even on the sunny warm day that I was there in the woods was reasonable cool.  Lots of double track to ride up and single track to ride down.  And when you broke out of the woods the views were pretty good.  There was some good places to practice rock garden type skills in places where the penalty for screwing up would just be a muddy shoe; some of the permenent wet trails were a bit chewed up by the horses.  Lots of horses out but the horse people were amazing; so friendly and outgoing.  Not what I am used to.  A bit of a ride for a southender like me but worth it.  Plan a stop on the way back at the Outlet Stores at Marysville.  There are some good deals at the Columbia Sportwear store. Pretty crowded though.
