Raging River (Phase 1)

Location: North Bend, WA
Chapter: Statewide
New Mileage: 10 miles
Status: In Progress
Completion Date: 11/01/2017

A partnership between Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and the Washington Department of Natural Resources, Raging River Phase I trail construction consists of 15+miles of ridgeline trail in a ‘lollipop’ formation, offering riders the option for a loop at the ride midpoint.

Currently, DNR is in the process of constructing an approximately 4-mile stacked loop system out of Exit 27, allowing access to exclusive climbing-only and descent-only trails from the Snoqualmie Point trailhead to the first saddle. Evergreen trail crews are running 4-5 excavators between 2500-3500’ of elevation (to stay ahead of the snow) in order to build the additional 6 miles of trail required for the completion of Phase I.

Phase I of the Raging River Project is slated for completion by fall 2017 with potential trail openings as early as late fall 2016. Additionally, the current Snoqualmie Corridor Recreation Plan calls for up to 40 miles of trail in the region, allowing for an eventual connection to Tiger Mt and offering more distance than can be completed in an all-day epic.

*The SCRP also calls for connections between Tiger, Raging River, Taylor Mt & the town of North Bend.
