Beginner Class

In this 2-part series, we use two sessions to teach you everything you need to have fun and be
a confident trail rider. New and experienced riders can all benefit from a focus on learning
fundamental mountain bike handling and techniques. In Part 1, we focus on proper balance
and body position and add a host of vital skills including braking, climbing, descending, and
tight turns. In Part 2, we add cornering, a variety of wheel lifts, negotiating obstacles, line
selection, switchbacks and rolldowns to the skills learned in Part 1. All skills will be discussed,
demonstrated and practiced with our instructors. Throughout the class, we’ll take to the trail for
real-world practice of the skills you learn.

This class is two consecutive weekend sessions. For Ages 14 and Up.

Part 1: 10/13/18 1pm-4pm

Part 2: 10/27/18 1pm-4pm
