Overview

IMPORTANT: Discover Pass required for the upper parking lot.

Do you love to spend holidays on your bike? Do you love to ride with other people but worry about being too slow? Then this is the ride for you! Join your friendly, local asthmatic on this slow-climb, social-paced, intermediate COED ride at Tiger on Easter Sunday! We'll have a long, leisurely climb to the summit--probably at least an hour--with several short breaks to breathe, followed by some downhill fun with rollable drops, a few steep, tight turns, and big grins.

This is not a clinic, but we can stop and session any tricky spots you want. Just ask me! Recognizing that different people have different comfort levels with speed (both going up and down), we'll stop and regroup at trail intersections and fireroads. We'll also stop to breathe, chat, and eat snacks. I'll eat a quick lunch either at the summit or right before Power Link, the last bit of the climb to the summit.

Crank Sisters has a no-drop policy.

Ride Details

  • Route: Masterlink, Quick Link, Power Link, East Tiger Summit, Off the Grid, Crosshall, Inside Passage, Atlas, Northwest Timber Bypass.
  • Skill Level: Intermediate to strong intermediate for a long climb and techy descent.
  • Ride Style: Trail riding. All the drops are rollable, but there is one on OTG that I always walk. Atlas is not as techy as OTG but has some steep, tight turns.
  • Pace: Social. Breaks may be frequent but short.
  • Climbing: Expect to climb 1,818 feet in elevation (according to TrailForks).
  • Distance: 9.3 miles (according to Trailforks).
