Build confidence on PNW terrain

This two-part program is intended to equip you with the skills necessary to start riding the rocky, rooted, and steep singletrack the PNW is famous for. Spend day one focusing on core foundations and day two on intermediate level tech trails in one of our favorite local zones. Boost your trail confidence and ride alongside certified instructors who will guide you through complex features in a no pressure environment.

Who Should Enroll:
This series is ideal for riders who have experience with beginner and intermediate level technical trails, but who experience tension or hesitation as the trail steepens and the root systems get more entangled. Prepare to session iconic features on beloved trails like Atlas at Tiger Mountain, Ferdinand the Bull at Raging River, or Mycelium at Port Gamble.

Focus Areas:

  • Dynamic Body Positioning & Balance: Add finesse to your bike-body separation to better flow over obstacles, and maintain momentum and stability in challenging terrain.
  • Pumping Through Features: Add playful building blocks to your riding style by pumping through rough terrain to maintain momentum, add traction, and smooth out the chatter.
  • Strategic Line Choice: Set yourself up for success through rock gardens and steep chutes by developing your “rider’s eye” to pick the right line for you.

Discover the thrill of singletrack and unlock your potential on the dirt.

Prerequisites & Gear:

  • Prerequisites: Successful completion of the Foundations Level 2, Progression Series, or a Cornering Clinic—OR—equivalent experience (must be comfortable on blue flow trails and actively progressing into more technical terrain).
  • A full-face MTB helmet and flat pedals are highly recommended for this class

Students are responsible for supplying their own bike and equipment for MOST Evergreen classes & camps. Bikes may be available in Central or East.
