Class
Eastern Washington Freeride class at Camp Sekani focused on cornering, drops, jumps, and additional techniques to get your wheels off the ground.

Notice: This is a 2-part class, please check dates at the bottom of the description.

Are you ready to take your riding to the next level? Have you been through the MTB Foundations classes, and want a new challenge? Are there sections of trail or features that you want to ride, but you don’t feel you have the confidence or skill? The Freeride Foundations program might just be the perfect fit for you. These two classes are a series taken together.

In Part 1 of this series, we will focus on bike handling skills to build confidence for riding at higher speeds, taking on more aggressive terrain, and tackling terrain features, both natural and man-made including small drops, steeps, rock, and more. Skills will include manuals, wheel lifts, cornering with speed, pumping terrain, a variety of drop techniques, and an intro to jumping.

In Part 2 of this series, we will continue to build on the skills established in Part 1 with a focus on high speed cornering through both berms and flat corners, carrying speed through rough and rocky terrain, jumps, more advanced drops, natural drop features and steep rock rolls.

This class is 2-3 hour sessions held at Camp Sekani.

Riders must be comfortable on intermediate terrain. Bike with full suspension and dropper post recommended. The class will be taught using flat pedals; clipless bike shoes/pedals are not acceptable. Full face helmet is suggested, as is arm/leg protection.
