Co-ed Basic Mechanics Class at Kirkland Bicycle

Learn to work on basic mechanical adjustments and maintenance on your own bike!

Topics covered include: 

- Pre-ride check and headset adjust

- Fix a broken chain, check chain stretch, install chain

- Derailleur adjustments

- Brakes (change brake pads, cleaning, adjust caliper, identify issues) 

- ID wear of various components

- How to properly clean and lube the bike

Remember to bring your own bike and any tools you normally carry, so you can practice with what you've got! If you don't have tools, that's OK; Counterbalance Bicycles will have some for us to use for the class.
