Warpaint and Evergreen are excited to invite you to a BIPOC and allies Trail School!
If you're new to trail work and want to learn the basics, or if you're looking to brush up on essential techniques, this class is perfect for you. Taught and supervised by Warpaint and Evergreen's professional trail staff, you'll get hands-on experience in a supportive environment. Whether you're just starting out or have some experience and want to strengthen your foundation, this is a great chance to learn from the pros! Everyone is welcome.
We especially love to teach new people who have never done trail work before, so don't hesitate to sign up and we will show you the ropes!

Location:
Classroom: Evergreen North Bend Office - Google maps link - Door on the northwest side of the building up the stairs.
Field portion: Tennant Trailhead - Google maps link
Schedule (please plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can begin on time):
- 9am - sign in, introductions, plan for the day
- 9:30am - Begin classroom slideshow presentation
- 11:30am - 12:00 - Lunch
- 12:15 - Meet at trailhead, talk safety and work plan, walk and talk on trail
- 1:00pm - Hike to worksite and begin work
- 3:00-4:00 - Gather up tools and hike out (Time depending on work, weather, and vibes)
What to bring and wear:
- Wear layers of clothing appropriate for the weather. We work in the rain! Wear sturdy shoes appropriate for muddy, uneven surfaces.
- We will provide lunch. You should bring any snacks/drinks you want during the day.
