Tired of riding with a bunch of guys? Want to meet more women in the sport and learn mountain biking skills in a safe and fun women’s only environment? Come learn from some of our amazing female instructors! We offer a wide range of women’s only classes for beginner and intermediate level women riders.

MTB Foundations Level 1 - Women

Description:

This one is for the ladies! Are you new to mountain biking? Or do you need to brush up on your skills? MTB Foundations is the place to start building your confidence on 2 wheels in a fun, supportive all-female environment.

This class will focus on:

  • Learning body position and balance
  • Proper braking
  • Climbing and descending techniques
  • Gearing and shifting
  • Approaching obstacles/front wheel lift

*Note bikes and equipment are not provided for any Evergreen education classes.

MTB Foundations Level 2 - Women

Description:

This one is for the ladies! Evergreen’s MTB Foundations level 2 caters to the intermediate rider looking to increase confidence on more technical trails in a fun, supportive, female-only environment. While Foundations Level 1 is a highly recommended prerequisite, experienced students are always welcome to join. Ages 14+

This class will focus on:

  • Review of body position, balance,  braking and descending
  • Cornering
  • Obstacle Clearance
  • Trail skills including roll downs and berms
  • Approaching jumps and drops

*Note bikes and equipment are not provided for any Evergreen education classes.

Progression Sessions - Women

Description:

This female-only class is tailored to the experienced female rider looking to improve skills and become an even stronger, more confident rider. Each class (4 in total) focuses on 2-3 skills - in depth - while out on the trails. Riders will receive feedback and guidance from our experienced instructors in a relaxed and fun setting - while spending the majority of time on the trail in a supportive all-female environment. Minimum Age: 14

This class will focus on:

  • Review balance, body position, braking, descending
  • Climbing, slow speed cornering, shifting
  • Trail skills including roll downs and berms
  • High-speed cornering
  • Obstacle clearing

Intro to Freeride - Women

Description:

Want to start pushing the limits of what you can ride? Go big on the jumps and carve berms with ease? This female-only (and female-instructed) class covers the basics of freeride biking, and takes each rider on the first step her journey to comfort and confidence with cornering, speed, and air! Minimum Age: 16

This class will focus on:

  • Review balance, body position, braking, descending, and proper drop techniques
  • Obstacle clearing/wheel lift
  • High-speed cornering
  • Progressing to bigger drops and jumps (Air time!)

Please note: The series takes place once a week over the course of 3 weeks per the following schedule:

A Women's ride series for those who have experience but want to improve on their skills and become even stronger, more confident trail riders. Description:

In the MTB Foundations Level 1 - Women, we teach you everything you need to have fun and be a confident trail rider in a supportive all-female environment. New and experienced riders can all benefit from a focus on learning fundamental mountain bike handling and techniques. We focus on proper balance and body position and add a host of vital skills including braking, climbing, descending, and tight turns. All skills will be discussed, demonstrated and practiced with our instructors, then taken to the trail. For Ages 18 and up

It is highly recommended that MTB Foundations Level 1 and MTB Foundations Level 2 are taken together.

MTB Foundations Level 2 - Women - Eastern WA

Description:

In MTB Foundations Level 2, we add cornering, a variety of wheel lifts, negotiating obstacles, line selection, switchbacks and rolldowns to the skills learned in MTB Foundations Level 1. Each skill is discussed, demonstrated and then practiced with the instructors. Throughout the class, we’ll take to the trail for real-world practice of the skill. For Ages 18 and Up.

 It is highly recommended that MTB Foundations Level 1 and MTB Foundations Level 2 are taken together.
