Evergreen’s MTB Foundations level 2 caters to the intermediate rider looking to increase confidence on more technical trails. While Foundations Level 1 is a highly recommended prerequisite, experienced students are always welcome to join. Minimum Age: 14

Progression Sessions - Women - Kitsap County

Description:

Please note: The series takes place once a week over the course of 3 weeks per the following schedule:

A Women's ride series for those who have experience but want to improve on their skills and become even stronger, more confident trail riders. Each class (3 in total) will focus on 2-3 skills in depth while out on the trails. Riders will receive feedback and guidance from our experienced instructors in a relaxed and fun setting while spending more time on the trails.

This class will focus on:

  • Review balance, body position, braking, descending

  • Climbing, slow speed cornering, shifting

  • Trail skills including roll downs and berms

  • High-speed cornering

  • Obstacle clearing

In the MTB Foundations - Teen, we teach you everything you need to have fun and be a confident trail rider in a friendly youth environment. New and experienced riders can all benefit from a focus on learning fundamental mountain bike handling and techniques. We focus on proper balance and body position and add a host of vital skills including braking, climbing, descending, and tight turns. We will then practice these skills on the trail. Ages 13-15

MTB Foundations - Jr - Eastern WA

Description:

Evergreen’s MTB Techniques for Kids provides youth the chance to join the fun on mountain bikes! Kids will learn the basics of safely riding their mountain bikes, while learning the technical skills to help them progress out on the trails. Learn how to climb and safely go down hills while rolling over small logs and roots, and riding through twisty trails. This class will help kids with balance while learning the basic rules of mountain biking to keep them safe.

Age: 8-12 ...  your child must have had their 8th birthday.

Limit 10 kids

Your child must have a “real” mountain bike. Box store mountain bikes are not acceptable for safety reasons.

Climbing and Mountain Bike Kids Camp - Ages 6-12 - Central WA

Description:

What could be better than biking in the morning and climbing in the afternoon?  Nothing!  Kids ages 6-12 are invited to join us for 5 full days of awesomeness riding their bike and climbing in a safe and supportive environment.  

  • Morning session:  From 9am-noon each day participants will be learning mountain bike skills such as body position and balance, braking, climbing and descending techniques, gearing and shifting, front and rear wheel lifts, cornering, roll downs and other trail skills to help with success on single track trail riding.
  • Lunch and shuttle:  Noon-1pm participants will eat their lunch and be transported from Squilchuck State Park to Riverfront Climbing Gym by Wenatchee Shuttle Service.
  • Afternoon session:  From 1-4pm. participants will learn the basics of climbing in the gym. They will learn about climbing equipment, proper knots, how to belay, climbing movement, and how to stay safe in the gym. They will also learn climbing games to build friendships and teach teamwork. All rental gear is included with the camp.

You will drop your child off each day at 9am at Squilchuck and picked your child up at 4pm at Riverfront Rock Gym.

Please pack your child lunch, water bottle and sunscreen.  Snacks and extra water will be provided.

No experience necessary.  However, each child is required to have a working bike and helmet.
