What could be better than biking in the morning and climbing in the afternoon? Nothing! Kids ages 6-12 are invited to join us for 5-full days of awesomeness riding their bike and climbing in a safe and supportive environment.
Morning session: From 9am to noon each day participants will be learning mountain bike skills such as body position and balance, braking, climbing and descending techniques, gearing and shifting, front and rear wheel lifts, cornering, roll downs and other trail skills to help with success on single track trail riding.
No experience necessary. However, each child is required to have a working bike and helmet.
Lunch and shuttle: Noon to 1pm participants will eat their lunch and be transported from Squilchuck State Park to Riverfront Climbing Gym by Wenatchee Shuttle Service.
Afternoon session: From 1 to 4 p.m. participants will learn the basics of climbing in the gym. They will learn about climbing equipment, proper knots, how to belay, climbing movement, and how to stay safe in the gym. They will also learn climbing games to build friendships and teach teamwork. All rental gear is included with the camp.
You will drop your child off each day at 9am at Squilchuck and picked your child up at 4pm at Riverfront Rock Gym.
Please pack your child lunch, water bottle and sunscreen. Snacks and extra water will be provided.
Cap off the summer 3-days of Mountain Biking fun at Duthie Hill. Campers will spend 3-days with our Evergreen coaches and other young riders exploring trails, developing their skills, making new friends, and growing their love of Mountain Biking! Ages 8-13
Spend 5 action-packed days of fun in the woods on your mountain bike! Dominate jumps, rip through dirt, and hammer over roots and rocks just like the pros! Technical trickery, jumps, and drops are just some of the skills we work on in these camps. Each day starts off with skill builders and ends with trail rides. We will also cover Some bike and maintenance skills and of course, plenty of bike games! Be sure to come prepared for lots of fun! Groups will be split by age and ability. Here is an overview of what will be learned throughout the week: The Basics: gearing up, braking, shifting, and body position Balance: bridges, skinnies, and bike games Uphill and Downhill: safer and faster Obstacles: logs, roots, and rocks Drops and Jumps: small to medium size (1/2 ft - 2 ft high) Bike Maintenance: fix-a-flat Trail maintenance: learn to preserve your favorite trail Participants must be 8-13 years old because of the added fitness level and duration of the camps.

Come spend a week of action packed fun on two wheels! Evergreen MTB is excited to partner with King County Parks to offer our Youth Dirt Camps at Black Diamond Open Space (BDOS)! This is the first year we will be offering Dirt Camps at BDOS Similar to our very popular camps at Duthie Bike Park, participants will learn all the technical skills to dominate jumps, rip through dirt, and hammer around roots and rocks! Each day starts off with skill builders and ends with trail rides. We’ll do a hands-on fix-a-flat class and play bike games. Half a day will be spent learning about stewardship and trail maintenance techniques. Be sure to come prepared for lots of fun! Groups will be split by age and ability. This year, we will be offering 2 weeks in total.
