Evergreen SW Dirt Skirts is putting on a ride at Surveyor’s Ridge/Dog River for (strong) intermediate skill levels. This ride is for women and those who identify as female (aka W/T/F).

What to expect:

We will self-shuttle to the North Surveyor’s Ridge Trailhead and ride it as an out and back, then follow it up with an optional Dog River descent. Distance will be determined by group preference, but we want to see some of those epic views on Surveyor’s. Expect up to 12 miles on Surveyor’s and 6 miles for Dog River.

The descent on Dog River is steep and exposed in sections and may be dusty and bumpy. If this is not your cup of tea, just join us for the Surveyor’s Ride and skip this descent.

This is a NO DROP ride for intermediate (Surveyor’s)/ strong intermediate (Dog River) skill levels. (See below for a description.) If you are not sure if you are ready, just contact the ride leader with any questions.

Strong Intermediate:

·         You’ve been mountain biking for 1-3 years, and have solid intermediate skills.

·         You’ve pretty much stopped complaining about how hard the sport is, even though people keep telling you it gets easier. It doesn’t, but you’re OK with it and you kind of like the pain.

·         You can handle rugged terrain, have good control of your brakes and know how to shift gears appropriately so that you don’t get off your bike too often

·         You can handle terrain that is slightly technical, with smaller rocks and roots and can climb on single-track as long as it is not technical

·         Longer rides of three to four hours don’t faze you
