Saint Edward State Park - Trail Brushing Work Party

07/20/2019,  9:30 am
Work Parties

Join us for what could be one of the last trail brushing work parties of the summer (we hope!). Help cut back nettles, salmonberry, blackberry and other fast-growing vegetation that inevitably needs to be trimmed back from the trails this time of year.

Big Finn Hill Park + St Edward State Park have a great, connected trail ecosystem that is some of the closest riding to the Seattle metro/Northeast-side. If you haven't been here, come check in out...and if you live nearby, come lend a hand to make a great trail riding experience for everyone.

We'll focus on sections of Volunteer, Juanita, Arrow Head, Plateau as well as some of the areas south of the park entrance for this work-party.

We'll have trimming tools (e.g. loppers, weed-whips, etc.) but if you have a favorite weed cutter, loppers, machete, light-saber, etc. feel free to bring it.

What you should bring: Your favorite weed cutting tool (or borrow some of ours)--be sure to wear gloves and eye protection

Where to meet: St Edward St Park--Main Park Entrance (NE 145 St, East of Juanita Dr. NE--stay right into park, keep right as you see parking, continue to upper "Seminary" parking lot--upper right)

When: 9:30 AM Saturday, July 20--for an hour or two--come when you can, stay as long as you want
