Join Washington Wild and Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance for a free outdoor movie night in the covered beer garden at Peddler Brewing Company in Seattle to celebrate Earth Day!

In honor of Earth Day we are celebrating the unique way in which Washington Wild and Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance have come together in Washington State to ensure access to important mountain biking trails while balancing the need for conservation on our public lands, including Wilderness designations. While the relationship between Wilderness and mountain biking is contentious elsewhere in the U.S., these two organizations have demonstrated that there is plenty of common ground between these two communities. This Washington Approach has proven that we can work together to create a wild and green Washington with amazing opportunities to recreate.

Film Descriptions:

This American Land: Wild Olympics Video  (8 min) This brief documentary ran as part of PBS’ acclaimed This American Land chronicling local citizens support for the Wild Olympics legislation focused on protecting spectacular forested Wilderness and wild rivers on Washington's Olympic Peninsula. This American Land is the leading conservation news magazine program on public television stations nationwide.

Pedal-Driven (68 min) is a non-profit documentary featuring local mountain bikers in Washington State, Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest that examines the shared philosophies of stewardship and sustainability from both sides and, ultimately, offers examples of the ways in which opposing factions can find common ground in defense of the lands that belong to us all.

$1 per pint will be donated by Peddler Brewing Company to Washington Wild in honor of the Brewshed® Alliance. The Brewshed® Happy Hour runs all day!
