About the Ride/ Grunt Rating:

  • Raging River has the perfect trails for getting fit as the trails are beautiful with a decent amount of climbing. Lower Flow State is a green trail (remember that trails are rated at the local trail system - so a green at Raging is more difficult than a green at Soaring Eagle, Grand Ridge or St. Eds). The descent will be a mostly smooth swoopy fast trail with steep sections and rollable jumps. There is one optional rock roll drop (you can ride it or skip by riding to the right of it).

We will climb upto Lower Flow State (about 30 min at my speed - I'm a slow climbing) and ride down Lower Flow State (a spicy green flowy descent.) Depending on how the group is feeling - we might do a second lap. Knee and Elbow pads highy recommended!

  • Expect to ride at least a 2 hour ride. For those that have ridden with me, you know I climb pretty slowly - so don't worry about your climbing speed! If you want to climb fast - this is the wrong group for you :)

Directions:

Take I-90 to Exit 27. Turn Right at the bottom of the off ramp, continue till you see the park entrance on your right. Discover Pass required if parking in trail parking lot. If you don't have a Discover pass, park along the road. it. We will meet by the bathrooms.

Ride leader contact info:  Diana Miller (206) 972-2133.

Equipment:

  • please bring a mountain bike in good working order, 2 liters of water, helmet, electrolytes, backpack with some snacks, and spare bike tube.
  • I higly recommend knee and elbow pads (armor)! This is a good time to check you brake pads!

Conditions for cancellation: (heavy wind, lightning, flooding etc.) If a ride must be canceled, the ride leader will attempt to contact anyone signed up by 2pm the day of the ride
