Cranksisters Raging River, possible CCDH

12/12/2021,  9:30 am -  1:30 pm

This ride is for anyone who identifies as female

This ride is for advanced intermediate riders who like to climb (or are a least willing to suffer for the downhills!) and work on moderately techy terrain.  . Canyon Creek is rated blue but it's "spicy"- lots of roots.  Reach out to me if you aren't sure this is the ride for you.  We will not ride the CCDH if the weather is poor.  The alternative is to ride up the ridge and back down.

Ride leader: Robin Reardon 206-430-0788

This ride is open to anyone who identifies as female.  Please meet at 9:00 am by the bathrooms in the upper lot at exit 27.  You will need a Discover Pass to park in the lot.  There is parking outside of the lot.

Weather permitting the plan is to climb the ridge and drop into Canyon Creek downhill.  After climbing out we'll drop into Lower Poppin Tops, Flowstate, etc.

The climbing pace will be moderate, but there is about 2800 ft of climbing (with CCDH) so please realistically  assess your abilities. We need to keep a steady climbing pace.

This ride will probably be shortened if wet or we hit snow.

Please feel free to email me if you have questions about this ride.

Please make sure you have signed the Evergreen waiver.  It's good for a year.  Go to Evergreenmtb.org/my/waiver

Please make sure your bike is in good working order. If you are not sure, take it to your bike mechanic before the ride
Please bring a helmet, a snack, water, tools, pump/CO2, and a tube that fits your bike, so you can repair a flat tire. Knee & elbow pads are optional
Trails are subject to change based on weather, trail conditions, etc
Conditions for cancellation: heavy wind, lightning, deep snow. We ride in the rain and cold! If a ride must be cancelled, the ride leader will attempt to notify anyone signed up by 3 pm the day before

While we’re outside in the fresh air, it is important that we take precautions to minimize the risk of spreading COVID. Sorry, but we can't accept "walk-ons". You do need to sign up here before arriving.  IF YOU CANNOT MAKE THE RIDE, PLEASE CANCEL YOUR SPOT ONLINE AND/OR CONTACT THE RIDE LEADER ASAP SO THAT YOUR SPOT CAN BE OPENED UP FOR SOMEONE ELSE.
