Evergreen Crank Sisters Women's Group Advanced Intermediate Ride
This ride if for anyone who identifies as female.

This is a quick steady paced ride with social interactions but minimal stops.   We will ride for about 2 hours.

Trails: We will be experiencing riding in the dark and this Olallie Ride will be continuous uphill for about 2+ miles and then fast flowy downhill trails with sharp corning requiring Advanced Intermediate Skills. NO Beginners and NO Intermediate Riders who are not confident in their riding ability in these conditions. Riders need to be well fit to ride a Quick Steady pace with minimal stops.

About the Ride: Ride Route (Blue Rated Trails):

We will ride an out and back from the Gravel Parking area through the Rattle Snake Lake Park main road to the Iron Horse Trail to the Olallie Trail head to the First Lookout on the Olallie Trail.  This out and back takes use back to the cars by 8:10PM.

DIRECTIONS: Exit 32 off of I-90 to Rattlesnake Lake Park. PARK IN THE GRAVEL AREA TURNAROUND RIGHT BEFORE FIRST THE RATTLE SNAKE LAKE PARK SIGN. THIS MEANS TO PARK OUTSIDE OF THE RATTLE SNAKE LAKE PARK BECAUSE THE RANGERS LOCK THE MAIN PARKING AREA GATE AT DUSK!

Starting time is 6:15 PM.  Please be on time--we cannot wait more than 10 minutes for late arrivers.

Suggested Equipment: Two bike lights, 2 liters of water, electrolytes, backpack with some snacks, and spare bike tube

Conditions for cancellation: (heavy wind, lightning, etc.) If a ride must be canceled, the ride leader will attempt to contact anyone signed up by 3pm the day before the ride.
Grunt rating: plan to ride for 2.5 hours
Crank Sisters have a no-drop policy--we will regroup often and adjust the pace based on riders' preference.

COVID PRECAUTIONS

While we’re outside in the fresh air, it is important that we take precautions to minimize the risk of spreading COVID. This ride is limited to 8 riders. Sorry, but we can't accept "walk-ons". You do need to sign up here before arriving. IF YOU CANNOT MAKE THE RIDE, PLEASE CANCEL YOUR SPOT ONLINE AND/OR CONTACT THE RIDE LEADER ASAP SO THAT YOUR SPOT CAN BE OPENED UP FOR SOMEONE ELSE.

Before coming to the ride (for both ride leaders & participants):

·  Make sure to fill out our online waiver

·  Please perform a symptoms self-assessment

o    Take your temperature. Do you have a temperature above 100.4?

o    Do you have any COVID-related symptoms

o    Have you been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

o    If you answer yes to any of these questions, PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE RIDE

Expectations for riders & leaders:

·Required equipment: You are expected to bring a mask that can cover mouth and nose, any material is acceptable (state guidelines) and gloves (your biking gloves are OK). Please note that without this PPE, we will have to ask you to leave the ride

·Please bring hand sanitizer and / or disinfectant wipes to use as needed if touching of a common surface is required

·You will be asked to wear your mask anytime close contact (less than 6ft) is required for an extended period of time (>5 min), including during any bike checks, times when you're stopped for discussion, or if you come into contact with other trail users.
 

·Please bear with us as we try to navigate group rides during a time of social distancing and additional hygiene. It's a learning process for all of us and I appreciate your flexibility and cooperation.
